Nimbus Introduces New Names for Its 12-Metre Flagship Models
Nimbus Boats has introduced a new naming strategy for its flagship 12-metre range, making it easier for customers to understand the purpose and character of each model at a glance.
As part of this update, three well-known models receive new names:
- Nimbus W12 becomes Nimbus 42 Sport Weekender
- Nimbus T12 becomes Nimbus 42 Sport Tender
- Nimbus C12 becomes Nimbus 42 Sport Coupé
While the names have changed, the boats themselves remain exactly the same. Their design, performance, craftsmanship and equipment are unchanged, continuing to deliver the Scandinavian quality and functionality Nimbus has been known for since 1968.
A More Intuitive Naming Structure
The updated naming convention is part of a broader brand initiative that reinforces Nimbus’ heritage while creating a clearer and more consistent model range.
The new names – Sport Weekender, Sport Tender, and Sport Coupé – immediately communicate each model’s intended purpose and reflect the different ways owners enjoy life on the water. At the same time, the strategy draws inspiration from Nimbus’ historical naming tradition, creating a stronger connection between the brand’s legacy and its future.
The Same Award-Winning Boats
Although the model names have been refreshed, nothing else has changed.
The 42 Sport Weekender, 42 Sport Tender and 42 Sport Coupé continue to offer the same combination of timeless Scandinavian design, intelligent functionality, premium craftsmanship and outstanding seaworthiness that have made the 12-metre series one of Nimbus’ most successful ranges.
The new naming strategy simply makes it easier for customers to navigate the product portfolio while preserving everything that defines the Nimbus experience.
